"Friendly service, great food, excellent beers- this is definitely my favorite Tri-Cities eatery! Try the thai pizza or the plutonium porter. Oh! Best part? The creamy, bacon-y potato soup."
~ Ariadne Z. – Seattle, WA

My favourite in Richland. Love the homemade beer, the place, the atmosphere and the simple but of good quality food. A must in town. Fabrice D. - Béziers, France
I love this place. My fiance and myself have come here quite a few times, and every time the service is fantastic, the food is great, the beer is great.. its just an all around fantastic place. Beer and pizza! NOM NOM Krystyna T. - Goldendale, WA
Thank you, Yelp. This place is awesome. Loved the IPA, pizza was fantastic, and the service was great. Highly recommend it. Jordan M. - Aventura, FL
Atomic not only makes some great local brews, but their pizza is unique and excellent every time. We are never dissatisfied when we eat there. I especially love the "Manhattan Project" pizza, a chicken and red peppers with spicy butter that encourages extra beer swilling ;) My wife loves their potato soup. We've eaten there with small and large groups and always get great service. I haven't found a local pizza joint yet that compares to Atomic. Great family-friendly atmosphere. It is a small place though so it is often packed. Jason M – Richland, WA
Some friends brought me here on a recent visit to Pasco. I was delighted by the beer choices. So delighted, in fact, that I ordered the sampler so I could drink them all. Service was cheerful and friendly. I tried part of a pizza, too--pretty tasty! I can see why my friends (who are locals) really love this place. Natalie K – San Antonio, TX
Great staff family friendly only tried the ipa but there beer is great so far looking forward to coming back. Andrew B – Honolulu, HI
The red potato soup is every bit as amazing as everyone says it is. You MUST get a bowl.
Kimberly B – Stanford, CA
Boyfriend loved the beers! We got the atomic pretzel, potato soup and sat and played games. I love this place and would come here more often if I lived close. Love that it is small and has a cool decor that is comfortable. The staff were awesome and I love that their story is on the front of the menu!!
Jenny R – Seattle, WA
The Hawaiian is my standard choice and was delicious, with a crispy crust, cheesy cheese and fresh toppings. They brew their own beer too (obviously), so make sure to take a flight or at least try a pint or two. It's good and light years ahead anything those chains will be offering. Be like me, become a food snob and explore a local business. Pick this one, won't you? Steve S – Denver, CO
Really enjoyed this place. Good beer with fun names and very unique food. Definitely recommend their Plutonium Porter. Danny L – Spokane, WA
Chicken Thai Pizza.....THAT'S WHAT I'M TALK'N ABOUT WILLIS! What do you need to know? Small restaurant, awesome beers, amazing pizzas and soups, awesome beers. Did I mention the tasty beer? If not...the have yummy beers. Kelly V – Ames, IA
Despite being crowded, service was prompt, attentive, and everyone on the staff was full of cheer. I observed how well their whole team worked seamlessly together, multitasking wonderful service. I wish there were more places like these.! YOKi T – Spokane, WA
For just $1 more, your side salad can become one of there very nice "special" salads, so I went after the Spinach Salad. Very, very nice bacon vinaigrette, and they use roma tomatoes rather than normal bland ones. Great salad! My sis had the caesar salad, and said the croutons tasted just awesome.
Another cool thing. This place used to be an A&W and they use that root beer. Just a cool nod to history I thought. I have had several different sandwiches here and have really enjoyed them all. Good eats at a good price.
Shane D – Spokane, WA
The BEST pizza in the Tri-Cities! Our current favorite is 1/2 black and blue, 1/2 portabello road. They treat us like regulars(: Michelle E – Richland, WA
We started with the bratwurst bites as an appetizer. These were very yummy, beer brats with apples and sauerkraut, they cook it in the oven with one of their beers...super yummy !I had a small caesar salad and hubby had a small Mediterranean salad. We ordered the Reactor core pizza. Oh boy, the name fits it! Its hot, but quite possibly the best pizza I have ever had! I don't remember everything on it. I know it had sausage pepperoni, jalapeno , blue cheese and red chili flakes. Service was great. We will defiantly return! Bobbi R – Benton City, WA
Friendly service, great food, excellent beers- this is definitely my favorite Tri-Cities eatery! Try the thai pizza or the plutonium porter. Oh! Best part? The creamy, bacon-y potato soup. Ariadne Z – Seattle, WA
I wonder if Tri-City people know how good they got it, Atomic Ale Brewpub and Eatery was one better places I've eaten in a while. This is something the Tri City area should treasure and visit often. Great brews, great food, nice staff and nice relaxed atmosphere. Jeffery S – La Grange Park, IL
I love Atomic! Their signature red potato soup will hook you. (I get it for lunch about three times a week.) I love that you seat yourself if a table is available. The staff are friendly and they are patient with me while I learn about beer. It's our "go to" place to eat. April P – Richland, WA
A true local gem. The service is great and everything I have tried has been amazing. For an appetizer, try their nuclear pretzel. it is spicy, buttery goodness. Pizza is their specialty and the BBQ Chicken Pizza delivers. Their red potato soup is a must have as well! For dessert, try their brownie with icecream and chocolate port sauce. This is a must visit for anyone in Tri-Cities. Chelsea P – Pasco, WA
I'm not a big pizza person so I was kind of hesitant to try here, but I do love beer so I though we'd give it a go. So glad we did! I had the lemon pepper chicken and it was sooo good! I hate chain restaurants these days, everything always tastes microwaved and either bland or over seasoned. Atomic gets it right! and the roasted potatoes with parm are a carb lovers dream! Tried a sampler of beer and although several were good I got a big glass of the dark delicious porter. For dessert we shared the HUGE porter brownie, gooey chocolate perfection! I really liked this place and have been back several times, each time awesome. G.Lizzy B – Kennewick, WA
We love atomic! It's our favorite brew pub. Wide variety of beers that aren't all overly hoppy. It was my wife's choice for her 50th birthday dinner. Good service. Rob P – Kennewick, WA
This microbrewery features some of the best pizza in the northwest! Great brews, friendly staff, good service, great service... Mark O – Bellingham, WA
Love to meet friends here! The appetizers are wonderful & the service is incredible! I always get the atomic pretzel with pesto dip. Kristy H – Pasco, WA
This is a fantastic place and pretty iconic to the Tri-Cities. With a staff that is friendly and knowledgeable and a restaurant that is eclectic and comfortable, it is easy to understand how this place can easily turn into a meeting place for friends. Their menu covers a variety of foods, those for the health conscious, the carnivore, the vegetarian. Appetizers, pizza, soups, sandwiches. Their beer is delicious- I'm definitely a fan of the availability of the growler! My personal favorite is the Plutonium Porter- coffee/chocolate. Yum. Susan A – Richland, WA
Excellent IPA. Mmmmm, beer. Ponce de Leon – Spokane, WA
Great place, fun atmosphere, excellent homemade pizza and beer. We love this place. We have brought out-of-town friends here for a great casual night out. It is kid friendly but also enjoyable for adults. Plus it is part of Richland history. LovesToDineOut – WA
This is my "go to" place. If there is a night the wife and I don't feel like cooking and want to go out this is the place to go. Potato soup is fantastic. Made with the in house hefeweizen and red potatoes. Appetizers are great. Would recommend the pretzel and it comes with mustard and pesto for dipping. I believe I have had every pizza on the menu and they are all great. The Four Kings is a great meaty pizza and the Barcelona is my other personal favorite. They also do a special pizza of the day and that is normally some sort of odd concoction that is always tasty. The crust is not too thick and not too thin but always cooked perfectly in the brick oven. I have yet to try any of the pasta dishes or sandwiches as I can never get passed a good pizza. Blah Blah – WA
I always have enjoyed meeting friends here for a quick appetizer or for long chats while enjoying great pizza! Wonderful brews & exceptional service! I will never pass up a chance for an atomic pretzel! Green Eyes – WA
I love Atomic's! Love visiting with friends over the artichoke dip. MMmmmmmm! Their pizza's are amazing! And service is top notch! Kay – WA
Best gourmet pizza and beer around! I love Atomic! Northwestfoodie007 – WA
Atomic is a must visit for anyone living in Richland and looking for Pizza. They have some of the best around. Ryan – WA
You won't be disappointed with their beer or their pizzas (especially if you like California Pizza Kitchen) I think it's the best pizza of the tricities!! Sandrine – WA
Great little place with good selection of beers and food. Try the pizza and the blueberry cobbler, homemade! USA travels – OR
Order the potato soup! It is to die for! Arlene H.
Everything is great. Yumm yumm Erin S.
Love this place. Been coming here for years. Dan M.
“Best informal place to eat in town” Food is great, staff are friendly, ambiance is excellent. Great place to spend an evening. There aren't many "local" places to choose from in this area, but this is a great one. We go there often and always take our out-of-town guests there. MJK1947 – Richland, WA
“Unique restraunt with great atmosphere and food” Have been her multiple times. Love the potato soup and Thia Chicken pizza. Atmosphere is awesome-historic photos of Hanford. ezflyer1 – Richland, WA
“One of my favorite spots in the country” I think the Atomic Ale has it all: great beer, great food, friendly staff, and a delightful selection of souvenirs. If you are in the Tri-Cities, you should make sure you stop in. This week, I think their stout was their best beer. TNmilt – Germantown, MD
“Good food, good beer, good value” A somewhat small, but apparently a very popular place (and an old A&W Drive-In in previous life), my wife and I were able to get a table for 2 when we arrived around 6:30 on a Sunday evening. Another larger party arriving after us had to wait a bit for a table. Atomic Ale has different types of pizza, but other choices as well. My wife and I both opted for a daily special – homemade pasta stuffed with sausage in an artichoke cream sauce. We split a salad first and then each had some of the pasta to take home with us. I sampled a couple of the home brew beers and both were excellent. They also have a decent wine by the glass selection. Service was quick even though the place was full. I would highly recommend Atomic Ale…just for the beer, or just for the food…or better yet, try both. grizfan – Memphis, TN
“Great brew pub” Have been going here for years. House made beers are really good. Pizza is even better. I like to try and hit this place at least once a month just for one of the special pizzas. The potato soup is the best thing you will ever eat if you get it on a good day. Some days are better than others. My favorite pizzas on the menu are the Barcelona and the Four Kings. You can't argue with bratwurst on a pizza. Nice feel of local history with the decor. Robblah – Kennewick, WA
“the local spot” Atomic Ale is a great little place to grab some pizza or other items off their menu. The bratwurst is great as is their beer. I'd say a great local place to sit down with friends and spend some time over food and drink. I frequent this place whenever I am in town and have never had a bad experience. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. It is on my list of places to eat every time I'm back. poboi – Santa Fe, NM
“FCA Soccer weekend” Great food, great beer, great atmosphere, great service. What more can you ask? They were able to seat 11 of us on a Saturday evening. Nilsner – Bothell, WA
“Great brews and and atmosphere” Always enjoy meeting friends and family at Atomic Ale. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is good and the variety of micro-brews makes it possible to get a god beer every time!! Rick J – Richland, WA
“Nuclear Experience” This brew pub has been a Richland, WA stalwart for nearly 30 years. It is housed in a small, remodeled A&W. The beer is great with intriguing names like Plutonium Porter and Half-Life Hefeweizen. Also, the pub makes an excellent pizza. This is a must see if you're in the Tri-Cities. And if you go, get a T-shirt. It will become a topic of conversation wherever you go. Kerry E – Richland, WA
“Nuclear Themed Pizza” I visit the tri-cities area a few times a year for business. The Atomic Ale Brewpub in Richland is a must-stop considering it's one of my favorite places to eat - anywhere.
The pub has a nuclear theme which shouldn't be a surprise if you know the history of the area. Beers and food have neat names. The reactor core pizza, the half-life hefeweizen, atomic ale, and so on. Check out their menu online.
Parking: If you come during the regular dinner hours, you may not find a spot. Parking is limited around the restaurant. But, no worries. Just park across the street.
Service: Each time I've visited service has been great. The place is small inside, so there are only so many tables. Interesting enough, I've never had to wait to be seated.
Food quality: Amazing pizza. Unfortunately, that's the only thing I order when I visit. So I cannot give you much help with the other items on the menu. The other people I've dined haven't complained about their non pizza orders.
Price: The food and beer is pretty cheap. The personal pizzas will run you around $15 and will give you lunch the next day. I've never been able to finish the entire thing. Beers are reasonably priced. Maybe $4-5 a pint.
If you are visiting the area and like pizza, go here. If you happen to live in the tri-cities area, enjoy this place. I do every time I visit.

“Everything is amazing - pizza rocks!” Very creative menu. The pizzas are incredible. Very friendly staff. Try the Reactor Core pizza if you like something spicy. Also the specials are very creative. Soups are outstanding as well. Not a huge beer drinker, but everyone in there raves about the brew. Whenever I'm in town, I will eat at least one or two meals there. Very casual atmosphere. Saw people in suits and shorts/t-shirts. Highly recommended! Should be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Laughman1984 – Las Vegas, NV
“Great Ale...Good Food...Interesting History” Definitely on my list of places to return to in Richland. Wood-fired pizzas and freshly-brewed ales are their specialty. Try their potato soup too; best I ever had. Outdoor dining is available. Gordon H – Kirkland, WA
“Fun theme and tasty pizza” We visited Atomic Ale twice during a stay in Richland, once for dinner as a family and then once with a group for lunch. Both times the food was very good. The pizzas were creative, toppings were fresh, crust was chewy and thin (but definitely not New York thin). Salads were fresh and a large served three people as an appetizer. Beer was tasty. Fun atmosphere with a Hanford theme. We enjoyed our meals and would definitely eat here again. TouristeSeattle – Seattle, WA
“Great Service and Brew” I have been indulging in their services here for about a year. When I walk in they greet me like an old friend. They have great knowledge of how the ale is brewed and what's coming up next. I normally come in solo and have an ale and an appetizer. The appetizer is always great. This place was once a drive in diner and is small, so it is crowded (because of the good food). Me and my wife have went in for dinner a few times. We were impressed with our dinners. Lloyd N – Richland, WA
“Delicious!” One of my favorite places to eat in Richland. Atomic Ale is a brew pub, they incorporate their own brew in desserts, soup etc. This is not a bar, bring the family. debrueg – Kennewick, WA
“Great place for Lunch!” One of my favorite lunch spots!! Love, love the potato soup!! I can usually be found there on Tuesday- vegetarian day!! klp5 – WA
“Good pizza and great beer” Service was good and very friendly. I enjoyed the pizza and the Atomic Amber is the bomb. 74inspector – Richland, WA
“Pizza to die for service to live for .” You don't know what an amazing place you have in small town USA. The pizza is truly to die for. The atomic potato soup is the best I have ever tasted in fact we had it for dessert. The service wow amazing our server was very busy but made us feel like we were the only thing she had to do. Friendly, funny and very attentive. She even took the time to stop and play with a fussy baby....making us happy and the parents happy to. Thanks atomic best pizza we have ever had....thanks Debra amazing service we would be regulars:) luckyibe
“Fantastic little gem in Richland!” This great little restaurant looks very unassuming from the outside...but walk in and you'll find it to be one of Richlands hot spots! We ordered a salad and BBQ chicken pizza...both were fantastic. A 'must try' when in the area! NorthwestTravel – Richland, WA
“Awesome pizza and brews...yummy” 2Cougs – Boise, ID
“Best Pizza in the Tri-Cities, Micro-Brewery Too!”
If you only buy Pizza one place in the Tri-Cities make it here. They have the most unique flavors including chicken spinach, portabello road, barbeque chicken and so many more!
If you like beer this is also a great place as they have their own micro-brewery on site with plenty of seasonal offerings!
BikeWA4Ever – Richland, WA
“great pizza and beer, and cool memorabelia from Richland's atomic past”
We were in the town to tour the Hanford B Reactor (good geeky fun!) and had a very tasty dinner at Atomic Ale Brewpub & Eatery in Richland.
(Purists will want to stop reading now...) I had the best Thai chicken pizza I've had in a long time, and the house-brewed Strawberry Blonde beer (made with fresh strawberries) was perfect for a warm summer night. My companion had a more conventional sandwich and beer and also enjoyed both. The service was friendly, and we loved the haz-mat suits and radiation hazard warning signs on the walls. Definitely what we needed after a day poking around the Hanford site! MsMaryMC – Seattle, WA
Lonely Planet review
A perceptible Hanford-inspired 'gallows humor' pervades this cheery microbrewery and eatery, well known for its wood-fired specialty pizzas and top-notch soups (try the red potato). But first blast off with a locally crafted Half-Life Hefeweizen, Plutonium Porter or Atomic Amber. Real intellectuals grab an Oppenheimer Oatmeal Stout.
